net;ns.;tio;olu;ons;usi;xtr;y/e;troModerate rotating is essential part in the HV and EHV cable insulation process and does not damage the sensitive Milliken and taped conductors. In MV cable insulation, the cable twister is used for tightening the conductor, thus improving the inner semiconductive layer smoothness.
Cable Twister KLH-HD rotates the cable around its longitudinal axis. The rotation prevents drooping of the insulation and tightens the stranded conductor. The improved conductor quality prevents the intrusion of the semiconductive material into the conductor and improves the quality of the inner semiconductive layer.
By twisting with the twister device the cable is rotated around its longitudinal axis by taking advantage of the movement of the cable and of the friction between the belts of the device and the cable surface. The symmetrical setting of the tilted belts in a certain angle against the centreline of the cable forces the cable into a rotating movement while it is passing through the centricity device.
Cable diameter, max. | 140 mm |

The move from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles towards ones driven by alternative energy sources is in full swing. Nations have targeted a complete phase out in 2050 with an end for all new cars in 2035 (i.e. the Declaration of Glasgow). Several countries have undertaken more aggressive measures to accelerate the transition, notably Norway and Singapore. Hybrid, battery and fuel cell Electric Vehicle (EV) production is gearing up in factories around the world. The arrival of the new technology is sending waves of change along the entire supply chain.
