Description

The Compression Caterpillar CCA 1000 is used as a compression caterpillar in a loose tube buffering process. The loose tube is guided between two rubber belts, the material of which is developed especially to operate in hot water. The speed of the compression caterpillar is faster than the speed of the middle capstan, and thus the buffer tube is compressed while it is cooled down. This ensures a shrinkage-free loose tube. The control of the excess fibre length with dry tubes is also possible with this clinching technology.
