Continuous production, minimized production costs

With our building wire Lay-plate Strander SZB the core assembly is combined into a filling and sheathing line to guarantee continuous production. This maximizes production capacity and shortens manufacturing lead times and thus minimizes production costs.

Description

Our Lay-plate Strander SZB is designed for building wire SZ-stranding. It consists of three parts, a stranding entry capstan, an SZ-strander and a sranding blocking caterpillar.

Building wire SZ strander SZB is an integrated stranding solution consisting of tension lowering capstan, lay-plate strander and torsion blocking capstan.
The capstan minimizes the wire tension and equalizes tension variations prior to stranding. The SZ stranding process is based on rotating lay plates. Each wire is guided trough lay-plates on its own route.

The wires are stranded in an assembling die, which ensures the order of the wires. The stranding point is after the stranding head and it is adjusted depending on the wire. Torsion blocking caterpillar is fixed on linear bearings for longitudinal movement to adjust the distance to the stranding point. The design of the stranding head and the assembling die ensure symmetric and precise stranding of the cable.

The SZB strander does not limit the speed of the filling/sheathing lines, and the untwisted reversal points are very short.
The caterpillar, speed controlled with a tension feedback, prevents strands opening.
The SZB is movable on rails, giving possibility to add equipments, like talcum device.

The motor controllers are located in a cabinet.
