The dimensioning of the flow channels ensures the exact thickness of each layer. The centering can be adjusted with four centering screws in each layer. The gap between the inner layer tip and the die can be longitudinally adjusted. This feature improves the extrusion of various rubber materials regardless of different production speeds. An independently controlled fluid circulation unit is used for temperature control of the crosshead.
In addition to dual-layer extrusion, the head can be used for single-layer or striping extrusion. The material flow from an auxiliary extruder is added to the main layer through a striping distributor. For single-layer extrusion, a dummy distributor replaces the distributor for the outer layer or stripe extrusion.
The delivery includes a basic crosshead for rubber materials.
