Our crossheads have compact design and are very easy to handle and quick to assemble.
Our Triple Crosshead ECH 4/6 PFE main applications include insulation of telecommunication and data cable conductors, coaxial cables and special wires.
A fixed or manual die centring system can be easily selected by just changing one part in the head. Excellent concentricity, that meets most specifications, can be achieved in fixed centring mode. Manual centring mode is only required for some specific applications with extreme tight concentricity tolerances.
The standard head configuration allows triple layer extrusion of products such as skin/foam/skin. With optional dummy distributors, the number of layers can be reduced to two or one for extrusion of products like skin/foam, foam/skin, foam or solid insulation.
Solid insulation with striping can be produced in two layers configuration with an optional striping distributor.
The inner and main distributors of this head are conical shaped. A disk type radial distributor is utilised for the outer layer.
The high performance and user friendliness of the head are achieved by combining smart design, close tolerances on all parts and unique geometry for each distributor.
