Our Crossheads for rubber cables have compact design and they are built with efficient cooling channels. They are very easy to handle and quick to assemble. Advanced technologies for cable type change are available.
Triple Crosshead THR 40/70 is used for single, dual and triple layer extrusion of LV and MV rubber cables. The dimensioning of the flow channels ensures exact thickness for each layer.
Each layer can be centered independently. The centering can be repeated with scaled centering screws.
The crosshead design allows quick change of extrusion tools when new cable dimensions are close to the ones presently used. The axial location inner layer tip can be longitudinally adjusted. This feature improves the extrusion of various rubber materials regardless of different production speeds.
Tempering units are used to circulate heated water in crosshead water channels to keep the crosshead in correct operating temperature.
