Continuous production, minimized down time

Our cable clamp KS 160 is used in medium, high and extra high voltage cable production.

Description

Our accumulators are equipped with pneumatically operated clamping devices. For example, when a pay-off is placed before the accumulator, the clamp holds the incoming cable end during reel change in a pay-off. Meanwhile, the accumulator is emptied for maintaining continuous production.

Our Vertical Cable Clamp KS 160 enables vertical clamping of the cable inside the free hanging cable loop. The clamping point in vertical direction can vary between 200 - 1200 mm from floor level. This reduces the distance between the pay-off and the inlet of the accumulator, because there are no other supporting points between the inlet point and the winder. The clamp can operate inside the range of hanging cable loop that is needed by the dancer.

The clamp consists of a vertical fixed beam and a pneumatically movable clamping beam. Both beams are equipped with exchangeable rubber surfaces to ensure adequate braking friction. The clamping gap is surrounded with fences to protect the operator and outsiders. The conductor inlet is equipped with vertical guide rollers.

Technical characteristics
