Find ways on how you could speed up your production

Are you looking to better understand what is slowing down your production at your factory and how to remedy it?

This pilot line is waiting for you to make benchmark runs of your flexible medical tube or your special application tube. Understand where performances can be gained. Try out the line for single-layer pipe at Maillefer’s R&D Center in Switzerland. Rent our services and try your hand on our equipment with assistance from our specialists.

The medical line is complete, from extrusion to downstream equipment. It allows you to reproduce your factory conditons while working in a controlled environment. Constraints are removed. You can concentrate on benchmarking runs, equipment, processing conditions, technical polymers, and more. Our pilot line is equipped with an extrusion group capable of producing single layer tubes with an OD of up to 12 mm.

Pilot line overview:

  • MXC 60-30D Main extruder
  • TL 28 Head single layer
  • Calibration and cooling
  • Haul-off
  • Fully automatic KWA dual coiler
  • TCP Operator panel

Availability of our Pilot Medical / Special Line for your use in matching up your product requirements against existing technology. We prepare the line according to your product requirements with the possibility to employ your material. Our specialists will guide you throughout the trials, which typically lasts 1 to 3 days in your presence. Recommendation and consultation for but not limited to:

  • Material testing
  • Extrusion optimization
  • Production testing

The pilot line is optimized for small diameter, single-layer tube. It is quite versatile and easily adapted for constructions used in medical, automotive, micro-duct and other special applications. We've made customer runs using PVC, PE and TPU. The line is capable for other polymers, like PA.

Possibilty to produce diameters above 12 mm by swapping in a larger TL-54 extrusion head.
