Our belt caterpillars ensure the stability of line speed and are highly reliable in long runs as well as with high pulling forces. The stable line speed minimizes cable diameter variations.
Belt Caterpillar BCA 18 is a true workhorse of the cable industry. It is used in various insulation and sheathing applications, from low voltage to high and extra high voltage cables.
It has a robust steel frame. The gripping pressure and the belt tension are pneumatically adjustable. Belts are driven through a gear transmission by an AC motor.
The power transmission includes one speed controlled AC motor directly connected to an angle gearbox. The motor is equipped with an electromagnetic brake.
